At KinderReady Path, we take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under U.S. privacy laws including COPPA, FERPA, and state privacy regulations like CCPA/CPRA.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This is used for authentication, account management, and communication about your subscription.
To personalize your kindergarten readiness experience, you may create a child profile that includes your child's name, birth date, U.S. state of residence, and target kindergarten start date. You may also choose a display icon and color theme. This information is used solely to tailor readiness checklists, curriculum recommendations, and progress tracking for your family.
As you use the app, we store your child's milestone progress (e.g., skills marked as mastered or in progress), optional parent notes, and optional journal photos you upload. These are linked to your child profile and visible only to you, the account holder.
If enabled, we store your preferred notification time and send daily activity reminders. Notification settings can be changed or turned off at any time.
For individual purchases ($4.99 full access or $1 additional child profile), we store a record of your payment status and Stripe session ID. For district or daycare license redemptions, we store the license key used. We do not collect or store credit card numbers, bank details, or full payment credentials — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.
We never sell your personal information or your child's information to third parties. We never use your child's data to train artificial intelligence models or for advertising purposes.
KinderReady Path is designed for parents and guardians to use on behalf of their children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 16 C.F.R. Part 312:
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student educational records. KinderReady Path is designed to be FERPA-aligned:

We do not share your data with schools, districts, daycares, advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third parties not listed above. Legal disclosures (e.g., response to lawful government requests) are made only when legally required.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data storage, secure authentication, and access controls. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We notify affected users of any data breach in accordance with applicable state laws.
